Straight or with a 3 winder treads down, the BRETAGNE staircase in kit in solid laminated beech offers, with its open stringers, a resolutely contemporary design.
The BRETAGNE is the twin brother of the AUVERGNE staircase. The only difference is the type of wood used. The BRETAGNE is made of solid beech, the AUVERGNE of solid oak. For the rest, they have the same characteristics.
Straight staircase or in 3 winder treads down version, the BRETAGNE is height-adjustable. The straight model varies between 260 and 280 cm (without bullnose step) ; the 3 winder treads down one varies between 300 and 320 cm (without bullnose step). There are 13 treads for the straight BRETAGNE and 12 + 3 for the 3 winder treads down version. The steps are 85 cm wide (cut to size) and 22 cm deep. You can also add, as an option, a 25 cm bullnose step, which can also be cut to size.
The BRETAGNE is a so-called double open stringers staircase. A open stringer is a saw-toothed stringer. The BRETAGNE has two of them, fixed on either side of the steps to support them. This design gives the staircase a certain lightness. Furthermore, the staircase is equipped with half risers, which accentuates its contemporary look.
Delivered in kit and without finishing, it will have to be treated. You can either oil it, stain it or varnish it. It is also possible, as an option, to add a banister and/or an landing banister. These elements are available in several versions and models: anodised aluminium and mixed beech and aluminium.
Robust and elegant, the BRETAGNE has another asset : it is made in Europe !
