This space-saving staircase is one of the successes of the SOGEM Classic range. Made of solid laminated oak, it fits into a wide variety of interiors, especially in rooms with limited space.
The ARDENNES has the same characteristics as its cousin the ALSACE. What is the difference? The first one is made of solid oak, the second of beech. As a secondary staircase, it is slightly narrower and steeper than a traditional staircase. The advantage: it takes up less space! Perfect when every square meter counts... Although it is less wide (70 cm) and takes up less space, the ARDENNES is nevertheless comfortable to climb. It is much less steep than a miller's ladder! It is best used to access a mezzanine or an attic, but you could even choose to place it in a living room to access a second floor.
The ARDENNES is available in several versions: straight, 3 winder treads down or 3 winder treads up. The straight staircase has 13 steps ( floor-to-floor height 280 cm) while a 3 winder treads version has 12 + 3 steps (floor-to-floor height 320 cm) . Thanks to an optional 25 cm bullnose step you can, if necessary, reach a height of 305 cm for the straight version and 345 cm for a 3 winder treads version. Even though its design is simple, the ARDENNES offers 2 styles of banisters and rails (wood or cable). Landing banisters complete the offer (100 or 320 cm modules) but only for the cable version. To give it a personal touch, you can paint, varnish or oil it as you wish. Finally, we would like to highlight the quality of the wood, which is particularly robust, and the ease of assembly of this staircase in kit.
